My Inspiration: My Dad
From the time I was born, I had the privilege of observing someone spend each day doing exactly what they were born to do. That person was my dad, and he was a farmer. I grew up on a fifth-generation grain farm in South Dakota – my grandpa and great grandpa farmed those same acres beforehand and my brother and nephew farm them now – and nowhere on earth was my dad happier than in those fields.
Growing up I always admired and respected my dad’s disposition. His work motivated and challenged him, and he was deeply fulfilled watching the wheat, soybeans and corn spring up each year. It wasn’t until I became an adult that I realized just how much my dad’s personal gratification influenced my own expectations about meaning, career, and the values I now bring to my client work.
Let me help you find the most rewarding and meaningful application of your skills.
In my career as a hiring manager and leadership development professional, I have helped hundreds of professionals find the most rewarding and meaningful application of their skills with work, people and organizations that align with their values and talents.
I love doing this work, and after 20+ years inside organizations, I now work directly with professionals, career changers, and individuals in the midst of a transition to deepen an understanding of their present purpose.
Thanks to my dad, I know there’s work that each of us is meant to do. I’m here to help you find the way to yours!
